Hi, let me introduce myself. I am Laura Gordon-Murnane, business and industry research consultant and principal/owner of C³ Information Services, LLC. I have the best job in the world. I love finding information. It’s like being on a treasure hunt. I’m always on the lookout for clues, signals, and buried information that reveals gems, pearls, and valuables for clients and customers. Searching for information is easy, searching thoroughly and finding critical information is hard. Even better than finding the information is the response by clients and colleagues who need that information to make critical decisions. Many times, I have delivered the information needed and the response is – “wow you found exactly what I needed to make a key presentation to my boss, my board, my customers.” Or “You saved me! I had a meeting with a client, but before I met with her I read the market brief you sent me and I learned that my client’s company had just been acquired by a key competitor. The client was really impressed that I had done my homework before I walked in the door.” Information professionals are experts in knowing the information landscape. I know where to look, I know the databases and I have the tools and resources to unlock the knowledge that solves problems and meets challenges.

Before I launched my business in 2019, I worked in a special library/corporate knowledge services department for more than 20 years providing high-quality research services to individual, departments, ad-hoc committees, and C-Suite executives who needed actionable intelligence to get projects done. I can help you find answers to problems, deliver custom-designed, outcome driven results, and make you look awesome.

Laura Gordon-Murnane is a member of the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP) and the Special Libraries Association (SLA).  She earned a Masters degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, a Masters of Arts degree in history, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Indiana University, Bloomington.

In my spare time, I’m a Master Gardener, a budding photographer, and an enthusiastic cook and baker.  I live in the Ozark foothills near the Missouri border.
